Terms of Service

By ordering or purchasing from Eric Robb, operating the website EricRobbRC.com, you agree to the following terms.

Last updated: October 2026

These terms cover everything sold on EricRobbRC.com. They are written in plain English by the person who runs the site. They are not legal advice.

What is sold here

Digital downloads (the ER Sparrow Mk II plans and the Classroom Flight Lab curriculum), physical parts for scratch-built RC aircraft made or cut to order (servo lead labels, connector safety locks, XT60 battery status caps, the heavy-duty control linkage kit, the wiring bundle and the ER Sparrow Mk II pre-cut kit), and, in small runs by request, the Wi-Fi RC LED controller. All of it is for the radio-control hobby. None of it is intended for full-size aircraft, commercial use, or safety-critical systems.

Hobby use and your responsibility

Building and flying radio-controlled aircraft needs some knowledge and carries risk. You are responsible for how a part is installed, mounted, wired, glued, loaded and flown, and for deciding whether it suits your aircraft. In particular:

  • Control linkage kit: aircraft loads vary enormously with size, speed, control-surface area, servo torque, geometry and construction. No load rating is claimed. You decide whether the parts and your installation are appropriate, and you inspect all control hardware before every flight.
  • XT60 battery status caps: a visual organisation aid only. They do not measure voltage, charge or protect a battery, and they do not replace checking a pack before use.
  • Connector safety locks and servo lead labels: aids to keeping connections joined and identified. They do not replace checking your connections before flight.
  • The pre-cut kit: an airframe you build and set up yourself, with the electronics, glue and tape you choose. The build guide gives the setup that flew; your airplane's balance and throws are yours to check before the first flight.
  • The LED controller: for 12V WS2815 addressable RGB LED strips only; not waterproof unless you protect it; mounting, wiring and powering it correctly are your responsibility.

Orders, prices and shipping

Prices are shown in US dollars on each product page and at checkout, where any shipping charge is also shown before you pay. Payment is taken by Stripe. Made-to-order items are produced after you order; the shipping policy says how and when things ship, and the refund policy says what happens if something is wrong. Orders from the LED controller's first-batch preorder, which closed on 17 August 2026, remain governed by the preorder policy.

Digital plans: licence

Buying the ER Sparrow Mk II plans, or the pre-cut kit that includes them, gives you a personal-use licence to the PDF files. You may print them as often as you like, build as many aircraft from them as you like, including aircraft you sell or give away, modify the design for your own builds, and use them with a class or club you run. You may not re-sell, re-upload, share or otherwise redistribute the files themselves, and you may not include them in a kit, course or product you sell. Point people at the plans page so they can buy their own copy. Plans are delivered as an instant download and are not refundable once downloaded.

Classroom Flight Lab: licence

One purchase licenses one instructor to use the guide and worksheets with the groups that instructor teaches, copying the worksheets for every student and every term. It does not license redistribution of the files to other instructors or institutions, or resale.

Limitation of liability

Everything here is a hobby product sold as-is for hobby use. To the extent the law allows, Eric Robb is not liable for damage to your aircraft, vehicles, electronics, batteries, property, or for injury, resulting from installation, wiring, building, flying, crashes, water exposure or misuse of anything bought here. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited by law.
