Skip the cutting. Keep the building.
The same airplane as the plans, from the same file, on the bench in one evening.
Not included: electronics, glue, tape. The motor, ESC, battery, prop, servos and radio are yours to choose; the beginner kit page lists a matched set. Hot glue and packing tape are in any hardware store.

The setup in the build guide, the one the airplane was flown with. It carries over to the next airplane, so it is the part worth buying well.
| Motor | 2212-class, about 1400 Kv |
|---|---|
| ESC | 30 A with BEC |
| Battery | 3S 1300–1500 mAh LiPo |
| Prop | 8×4 or 9×6 |
| Servos | 2 × 9 g, rudder and elevator |
| Radio | 4+ channel transmitter and receiver |
| Glue and tape | Hot glue; packing tape for the leading edges |

The build guide takes it from flat parts to a balanced airplane in eight pages: the wing with its spar and dihedral cuts, the fuselage folded from one flat into a square tube, the tail, the controls, the wiring, the balance point and the first flight.
The fuselage fold is the one technique worth a practice piece; the tube-fold guide shows it with the scores already cut, which is what the kit gives you.
Each kit is cut when it is ordered and packed flat between stiffeners in a long box. US shipping is a flat $14.99, tracked, added at checkout; anything small from the shop in the same order rides in the box for nothing extra. Eric emails a dispatch date after you order.
The small parts I use on every build, sold here too. Each is added to the cart on its own.
Thirty labels so the two servo leads and the ESC say what they are at the receiver.
